Imsys Technologies AB designs and supplies networked microprocessor solutions to OEMs in the market of Embedded Control and Telematic systems.

Imsys' patented technology for reconfigurable microprocessor cores enables cost effective integration of connectivity to machines or entire plants, as well as to field devices located outside the main facilities, providing remote control, monitoring and optimization of such assets. The processors are programmed in C/C++, assembler or Java. For efficient Java execution the full Java byte codes are part of a special instruction set. The platform is well suited for advanced Java ME systems with many threads.

Imsys' proprietary microcontroller integrated circuits and basic software together constitutes a low-cost solution that is easy to implement in target products; no knowledge of processor or operation system is needed. OEMs essentially need to connect Imsys controllers to the hardware it is to control, and add Java software, which is developed and tested on any computer, using standard tools.

Milestones

• In 1998 Imsys established partnership with Array Printers AB, Sweden to develop laser printer controllers. The use of Imsys technology significantly reduced the cost of Array’s printer controllers and greatly increased their functionality.
• In conjunction with a 1999 partnership with Ericsson Microelectronics (later Infineon Technologies), Imsys positioned its "System On A Chip", the IM1000 as an embedded Java platform for cellular communications.
• Early 2000, Imsys established, with its "Simple Network Application Platform", SNAP, a niche in the market for embedded control, using TCP/IP Ethernet connectivity.
• October 2002, Imsys achieved the Sony Green Partner status adhering to the Sony Technical Standards for environment related substances (press release) for the IM1000 processor.
• September 2005, Imsys Technologies receives funding from a consortium headed by Creandum AB and Swedish Industrial Development Fund (Industrifonden) (press release).

Geographical Presence

Imsys Technologies is a Swedish limited liability company, with its head office in Stockholm, Sweden, located twenty minutes from Arlanda International Airport with non-stop service to major cities in Europe & North America.

In early 2006 two offices were established in Sunnyvale (Ca) and Dallas (Tx) in the United States to better support the customers in this important market.
